Community Job Fair

Jamilia Gates, the Community Schools Director at East Middle School, is organizing a Community Job Fair for parents and residents in the neighborhoods adjacent to the five community schools in the City of Erie.  The goal is to make this audience aware of a) existing employment opportunities and b) continuing education and other relevant services for this population.  The event is scheduled for Tuesday May 21sy from 1 to 6 PM at East Middle School (formerly East High School). Job fair sponsored by Community Schools Initiative partnered with Erie's Public Schools, Safe Harbor Behavioral Health of UPMC & the United Way of Erie County.

Vendors (Employers, Recruiters, Services, Education) participating in the job fair will be categorized into three areas: Job Seekers, Training Seekers & Education Seekers. Vendors may choose multiple areas.

We are excited for Vendors who are:

  • Actively Hiring

  • Onsite Interviewing

  • Networking Opportunites

Participating vendors will receive the following:

  • No registration fee

  • Free Parking

  • Wifi Availabiltity

  • Light Lunch Meal (1)

  • Extensive promo through media & Erie Community Schools

  • Station (which includes long or round table)

  • Must be present entire time of job fair

When registering please indicate the following by selecting contact organizer during registration:

  • Power source needed

  • Which job fair area(s) your company/organization falls under (Job Seekers, Training Seekers, & Education Seekers)

  • Please also indicate if your company/organization provides a service (ex. childcare services, clothing, transportation)
